FYI re “design sector” be specific i.e. residential, commercial etc so you can really hone down your sector (by now you should have a tailored folio and really know / understand your sector, what it looks for in a candidate, what it needs and how you fit that market)

So experiment over….. Here are the results:

1. 500 viewed my post on my page about advertising your LinkedIn pages, FMP and yourselves in 1 week. At 5000 connections(it had gone up since I last looked), that’s 1:10th of my connections.
2. How many people actually looked at the posted graduate linkedin profiles….. Who knows…. Only they can say.
3. How many looked at their folios? See point 2

So heres the reality:
1. There are no guarantees when it comes to jobs. Fact – I have been through many 3-6month interview processes (yes) and assured the job was mine repeatedly, only for the project to disappear overnight due to the client pulling out
2. Some will help you
3. Some will not. Don’t take it personally. As I have highlighted before, experience is very often key (as is potential) which is why they often request they want a minimum of 1 year experience. This is why I run this group to help bridge that 1 year experience
4. Keep motivated, take opportunities when they come (like this opportunity) and keep learning and moving forward
5. You have talent, potential and your career is out there….. You will find it, just be patient
6. University is over now….. The education isn’t (how else do you bridge that 1 year gap!). Keep learning growing, developing, learning industry standards to be bankable straight away and be the best version you can be ……… Then Tomorrow be better than yesterday!!
