On the 20th August I received an email, CV and portfolio asking for some advice regarding how to make that transition from university graduate to junior designer and appeal to potential employers. Several lengthy emails were exchanged with reviews, updates and a reorganisation of their content.
Yesterday I received an email confirming that they have been offered a junior design position! I cannot tell you how proud I am of this person’s determination and attitude to keep momentum and not settle.
3 years studying and a graduation sadly does not guarantee a job opportunity at the end. “Right time right place” only works 50% of the time. You can not take your foot off the pedal. Keep seeking growth, knowledge and improvement!
UPDATE I literally just received a message from another graduate who I have been in contact with since day one of the mindset masterclass (was one of the attendees of the lecture series) who has been actively following and paying attention to all of the information on here. We have discussed many things along their journey, CV, folio, approach, updates and again they have been proactive, motivated and they have just accepted a junior position role for one of the jobs I posted on here!!! Again I am so proud of their perseverance, commitment and positivity!
