So I received an email late on Monday from an mindset masterclass follower asking about the value engineering lecture that they sadly missed that morning (they wasn’t the only one!). I gave a brief overview of what I had presented then we discussed their portfolio, how VE can be used as a means of justification, forward thinking and that extra layer of realism to really add weight to their final major project. Lastly we spoke about retroactively adding and demonstrating this by selling it in their presentation and how it can be “redlined” onto a plan/details to show further development and growth as part of their technical package later in their portfolio.

Heard this morning that the recruiter they approached this week was impressed with their (revised) covering letter, CV, emailable portfolio and telephone discussion outlining their work and their approach to design. They are now being put forward for interviews next week.

Small changes, improved mindset, listening and growing leads to small victories…..
