So with many of you having degree shows, getting your results and no doubt building up to your graduation ceremony and ball, here’s a quick lesson from someone who is almost 30 years down the road from you…..

1. take your college friends on your career journey….
2. the best network will always be your friends so look out for opportunities for them and they will do the same….
3. distance and time do not diminish true friendship so don’t think college is the end. I still have a bunch of my uni friends from graduation in 1995 in my life and we see each other / talk /chat online as and when we can and they are scattered over the globe….
4. Many of us still keep in touch with our tutor as he became a good friend…..His time with us back in the day was an adventure for him too!!!!
5. Not all of you will stay in design, some will diversify, others a different route, but you will always have that bond….and that is why the friendships will always be strong and grow with time…

So let this be a lesson that as many of you will have mixed emotions when your uni adventure comes to a close, just remember your next journey is considerably longer so make sure you take your friends with you…..
