What goes in a plasterboard or grid ceiling? A simple question you may or may not have asked yourself.

Light (downlighter or pendant fitting, etc)
Emergency light (green light in unit)
OR
Emergency light indicator (separate unit)
Smoke / heat detector
PIR (turns light off and on automatically when detects motion in the room)
Audio Speaker unit
Sprinkler head
Fire beacon
Fire siren
Fire escape directional signage
Area signage
Access panel (if solid plasterboard ceiling600x600/400×400/150×150)
AC grill
CCTV

Now here’s the thing, I have installed 6 of these in a single WC cubicle ceiling…. Yes you heard that right – 800x1500mm ceiling area!!

And of course you have to set them out so they cover the correct SQM, don’t over crowd the space and visually make sense and have an organisation and principle to the locations to make setting out easier across the ceilings elsewhere.

Now, how many of you have indicated these in your RCPs? If not, why not …..
