When working on a project, it’s always important to understand what you are designing, what you are building and more importantly what work you are doing and where.
You have to be 100% coordinated with the commercial team (costing departments)
about what has been priced and what hasn’t. If you are not specifically clear what material, element or area, legally you. An be bound to i.e. redecorate a whole room rather than just the corner you did new works in….It may seem trivial but having to paint an entire room now adds time and mo eh tp the program. If you have a penalty clause if you o er run, this can be even more expensive….
A clear document outlining your exclusions and clarifications can be the difference between making and losing money….. And this is so important.
