IPS systems are common place and 99% of you would have encountered them but never noticed why:
1. Frame board panel to back wall of WC cubicle
2. Service of panels proud of the frame
3. Flush controls within 1 panel
So the idea is the panels are removable where applicable. Normally the second panel or third. It generally hinges out and up to allow quick access to the cistern, water heater and more.
So I principle:
1. Allow for a 300mm void for cistern and pipework (water heater if in DDA WC or near sinks as these need pipework to them)
2. Install frame and panelling normally either full height if no floating ceiling grid or 100mm
3. Make sure panel has access to open
4. Cistern and controls coordinated work and with access panel
Colour schemes etc are very flexible so should get something to work with yr design. Be as creative as you like but design with practicality. Designing a WC with an IPS system is something you subtly drop in during your interview and it will be noted.
