Find someone to chase in your year…. I cannot stress this enough. Like every race or challenge, you need a rival, someone who sets a benchmark for you to aim against. This can be a general allrounder or in a specific field i.e. CAD or Photoshop visuals. They will push you to be better and you must accept the challenge otherwise you are not going to grow and better yourself. It’s easy to stay in a set lane, at a set pace, “I’ve pushed myself enough” attitude is easily adopted.

Your best work will be against yourself when you have some real competition….. Because only then will you be able to look yourself in the mirror and say I pushed myself and I excelled and look at where I am now.

Then you start the next project at that next level, with a new challenge to go up to the next level…Don’t allow yourself to settle for mediocre.

(FYI you may not realise it but someone is also chasing you…and how good does that feel!)
