Multi purposes spaces add value…

Multi purpose spaces add value, show depth and creativity in the planning which adds a lot more value than just a creative visual.

It also shows where you have thought beyond the obvious, and opportunity to save SQM with some ingenious thought/approach that in a hospitality scenario can generate money/value/experience. This is what design is. So much opportunity lies in the planning, but more importantly in the design approach and detailing.

An example of this would be in a hotel/hospitality example would be to ha e a business centre beside a restaurant. Having meeting rooms backing onto the main dining area or access too would allow for a dual functioning space – by day it’s a high end 12 person mtg room with full AV facilities (maybe even an obeya set up) and by night a private dining experience. The AV screens, if detailed in frames can become artwork, the table design can incorporate dining facilities, etc and the furniture be swapped (with a store nearby for a more dining feel). LED ceiling lighting can create the right mood / colourway to align with the restaurant theme. Lastly there could be an opportunity to open that private dining room up to the restaurant with pivot acoustic panels or similar that can spin to open into the bigger space to feel connected.

This opportunity is all because of planning. Get it right and you have a great opportunity to design a day and night experience to show your value as a designer beyond the obvious.
